About Me
Thank you for considering All About the Music Professional DJ Service for your special day! A little bit about me and my company-
My name is KC Bouchard. I grew up in Southern California with a deep love of music and people. At ten years old I was collecting records and making mix tapes. I started deejaying in the mid-80's with a pair of turntables and a Radio Shack mixer doing school functions and friend's parties. In 1988 I began spinning tunes professionally for a prominent wedding entertainment service after having completed their very thorough training and soon became one of their most requested DJ's. After a year with that company, I began booking gigs myself, filling dates that I did not have booked with the original company.
In the ensuing years I have presided over 750 receptions and hundreds of other parties and corporate events. That means there are more than 1500 people out that I introduced for their first dance as husband & wife, watched cut their cake, and counted down as they tossed their flowers & garters to eager single guys and gals. But more importantly, there are over 1500 people out there for whom I was able to make their reception all they had dreamed and more. It has been a privilege to be invited to be a part of all these special days, and it is an honor and responsibility I take very seriously.
You want someone who is experienced setting the tone for your reception, not someone who is just showing up for a gig. I take a genuine interest in you and your guests and I do not sub-contract your event out to other DJs who don't have the experience or reputation to protect like I do. I am All About the Music DJ Service- when you book the company, you are booking me.
I will, at no extra charge, meet with you prior to the event and help you plan out your reception's events and music. I can give you ideas you might not have considered and tailor your music mix towards the tastes of you and your guests. Then, on the big day, I can act not only as DJ and MC but also as your reception coordinator, making sure everything goes smoothly with the photographer, the caterer, your guests & yourselves so that you can just relax and enjoy the reception without having to worry about the details or schedule.
I bring a fully digital setup to the gig with tens of thousands of songs which are backed up three or more times. I use highly reliable MacBook Pros and iPads and I can play songs off iPods & mobile phones as well. If you need ceremony music I can help you choose the right song and play it as you walk down the aisle. I use very high-end JBL speakers and subwoofers for a sound that is precise and clear no matter if you have 25 or 2500 guests, and I have a complete backup system, just in case, for our peace of mind.
I am never late. I am at the event at least an hour before I am scheduled to play. I don't schedule other events that day so there won't be any conflicts. I don't charge for set-up or breakdown, I don't take breaks, don't drink on the job, and I always dress in appropriate attire.
Finally, my style when deejaying is "All About the Music". I am not an egocentric, wannabe radio DJ who loves to hear his/her own voice between and during every song. I believe that a good DJ should be able to get the dance-floor packed by the music he/she plays, not by corny gimmicks or by desperate urging. Not that I won't be on the microphone. I will make all your announcements and interact with your guests, but I believe first and foremost that the Bride & Groom are the stars of the reception, and that I play an important but supporting role in the flow and feel of the event.
A bad DJ can ruin a reception more quickly than almost any other person you hire for your special day. But a great DJ can elevate the party into something truly special and worthy of the celebration of your love. I would be honored to be a part of that celebration.
Thank you for your consideration!
